Should microsoft develop more things for XP after vista is released? i mean spend time on things that will be mainly of benefit to the XP user. Maybe porting 'some' small features?

Of course yes, not everybody will move to Vista soon, many people will keep XP on their machines for many reasons. In respect for the people that bought XP M$ have to keep releasing new features for XP, its what i think...

as a computer tech m$ will not think of the little people meaning that when vista gets released 64 bit parts are going to sky rocket in price.. so xp will still be popalar >
