Everything worked fine once I stopped trying to boot from an SP3 disk.

Go figure.

sp3 and xp...i would install xp first, then the sp. i hear others are having issues. might be a bios thingy, i dunno...

I don't think it's a BIOS problem, since it's working on SP2... I'd more likely say it's a feature that SP3 excluded for 'security' reasons or something

that's what i meant. a bios struggle w/sp3 specific stuff. it happens. sp2 is not sp3.
