the gist of your palaver...
the what of what?
banj0's argumentation is very good and he's right about the fact it could divide and break the friendly community we have here. But still, I don't know, I sometimes feel I have to keep my words for myself and I feel that it shouldn't be like that. With my "physical, real life" friends, I know I can say whatever I want and they agree or not but we still are friends in the end. This is the kind of discussion I would like to have here in an "unmoderated" (still with certain limits) thread. Share opinions, sometimes have heated (not hated) discussions but don't get angry at each other and stay friendly on the remaining part of the site.
Also that wouldn't have to be limited to politics only. Though Generations 2.1 sometimes looks like that too.
Then again maybe this thirst for action and heated debates is linked to my young age, and elders might prefer to stay calm and not take part in such discussions.
Those are the best words I found to express what I meant. And this is also why I still don't consider myself bilingual: I don't feel I can find the words to say what I want in English as much as in French...
