I just bought myself some parts for a new computer, I'm holding off on a gfx card for dx10 but everything else is brand new. I'm using 2 DVDRW DL drives from my current computer and putting a dvd/cdrw odd into it. I think I listed everything I needed too.

Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz which will be OC'ed)
2Gb G. Skill DDR2 800 (Also gonna OC)
250GB SATA II 16mb cache
Zalman CNPS9500
600W PSU

what you think? Leave me alone about the FX5500, that'll be upgraded later on.
I'm also bringing over another 160Gb most likely and possibly another SATAII hdd when I buy the gfx card.

i haven't decided which gfx to go with, i don't know much about the dx10 cards (pricing, performance, etc.)
I"m not a gfx fanboy, though I know would prefer nvidia b/c ati/amd merger, but whatever is the best.

Just but a 7900gt or something to hold you off until the dx10 cards come out and come down in price. When the first come out the prices will most likely be high and no games we be out yet anyways. So a 7900gt should last you well until then!
