my wife has had sucess with purchases, and i know of others who sell stuff and do ok, but i haven't tried it.

:P I've gotten an occasional good deal on Ebay, but often they diminish any savings by overchargeing on s/h imo :blink:

I have found some really great deals. I bought 256 PC 2700 for 9.95 including shipping.... I will make a post later on how this can be done !!!!

3 ways to make a good deal on Ebay

1 watch the item that you are looking to buy and set the price that you will pay.

2 know how much that items cost before looking

3 shipping is where the seller s get the buyer s NEVER buy an Item that has a set shipping price always buy Calculated for shipping

I've bought a few items on ebay, only got burned once, and it was for a $9.00 item

its really a hit or miss....sometimes ive had really good experiences, sometimes ive had headaches!! i buy and sell

The wife buys some antuique cups and saucers, a few odds and ends and some hard to find items.
My son and I use it to find some car parts for classic cars or some collectable items.
I don't think it is a good place to buy something that is readily available somewhere else.

We are working on a "68 GTO right now-
the previous owner put some after market gauges in and did all the wiring in the Dash himself (very Mickey Mouse I might add)
We are now tearing out all the old wires and trying to get it as close to stock as possible.
He had hidden switches under the dash and half the electrical didn't work.
After blowing three unilite modules in his Mallory distributor due to bad wiring we put in a stock point-type distributor to do some diagnosing.

That's just the electrical problem-
My son tore up the stock 10-bolt rear end and had a 12-bolt custom built to replace it.
Also a new battery, starter and cables were installed.

The car looks nice and is a blast to drive- but it has been down more than operable in the 6 mos. he's had the car.

My son drives my Jeep more than his own car- I feel like charging him for the use :cool2:

Wow, sounds like it will be a nice ride when your finished. BTW, have you ever thought of Tricking your son?? Man, i would love to have Chip Foose take a look at my old 1991 MR2 and see what he can come up with. The little beast has so much potential, but all i can see is a daily driver.

As for the "Goat" keep working hard, its a timeless classic. Good Luck with her, maybe one day i'll get to see her in all her glory! :cool2:
