the dx10 ones seem to have higher AA and better depth, though i bet actually having in-game animation/action would give you a better example...

I've played the game in forced dx9 mode (had to at first) and just yesterday I found that I can finally run in dx10 with the full SDK release. I don't notice much difference at all. But unlike Crysis, BioShock wasn't supposed to be a full-on DX10 game. But even in dx9, the game looks really, really good. This is a short, 16mb wmv, dx9 fraps vid. I took the other night for the water effect:
