it's here, the real deal. win7 users can now use the ata discard (trim) command sent down to the OCZ ssds from the OS. i haven't been around much. i was late in testing the final, but they did it, it is the real deal

manufacturers of raid controllers (intel included) still need to offer a pass through driver for us raid zombies, but again, OCZ covered us with an advanced garbage collection (GC) firmware for raid and xp/vista/apple/linux users (this is cool: xp, et al can use this advanced firmware to keep their drive's performance up. linux and apple are hopefully soon to follow MS, with it's inclusion of trim for ssds. ms did good here). with this new FW, my array is the fastest it has ever been, even though it has had many drive benches ran on it/contains the OS.
i'm happy

times they are a changing. i t is nice to see that xp, linux, and even apple's os are getting covered until they are on the good foot. the GC FW (1.41) will especially be suited for mac users, atm, macbooks in particular.
