How is it on fan noise? I hear its super quiet, but is that to a deaf person? Run some stress tests on it, see if the fan noise increases?

i can't hear it. at boot, it kicks up, but for 2d it is ultra quiet, more so than the nvidia that was previously in there.

So it will be pretty quiet for ya always as 3D mode will never be put to any use :storm:

:giggle: :(

the thing is, is that the fan on the ati cards is way more beefy, so it is louder (and more effective) than the nvidia counterparts. i would much rather have an effective, louder fan, than a less capable one. i was switching out several nvidia cards today, and none had what i would call a "decent" fan. the ati, at 35%, really moves air out the back of the case (silently). it's quit dramatic compared to the nvida 260 gtx at say, oh, 80/85%...
