How did we go from 200.00 to 800.00 CPU's?

quad cores? oh god, i can't stand it! i have to senselessly spend
$$$ because i'm an addict but imagine, dual dual cores,
and asigning each to run full blast on any task...oh man...then

If Vista works better with 64bit then all is good, i want my processor to be used best, and it sounds and looks like to me, that vista will offer the best CPU support yet.

run the latest and greatest and support better than the last
one, otherwise It'd be pointless to upgrade

Retail = Manufacturers warrantee (up to 3 years)
OEM = 90 day - 1 Year warrantee at sellers descretion. This means you cannot RMA your chip to the manufacturer.
Side note: Thank god i had a retail P4 3.0 chip. It did go bad, and i had a new chip direct from Intel in my PC within 5 days

for a year. oem. through amd many of the sata drives have great
support from the manufacturers. i had two raptors go, and western digital
replaced them sight unseen within 24 hours (i'm a few hundred miles from
their west coast distributor ). they carry a 5 year no matter where you
got them. i know many drives from other companies have a solid 3 year.

available from their site (for vista). being 2x16, i would assume they (yes, dual nv chipsets)
would support the latest directx.
Visentinel, do you get aeroglass w/ your nv gpu? past 5112?
I dont know i have never installed Vista fully onto my PC only in Virtual PC.
As for AeroGlass, it would work 100% since i have a 6800GT, they support even more than ATI cards My Card can do DX9C / Shader Model 3
However if Vista was released along side DX10 and AeroGlass is designed around DX10, then that would be a different story since no current card would be able to 100% support AeroGlass

is working under nvidia gpus. dx10 seems to slip further and further into the future,
so an upgrade wouldn't be out of the question atm. again, i am not concerned
with the "C" after dx9, nor shader models with my present card, as i don't game,
though the hardware excelleration, purevideo, ect. with the nv cards looks interesting...
and where are you getting "more support" for the nv cards? ati had the first lddm
driver out. and again, i want to know if others with the nv gpus are booting to aeroglass.
i'll boot to my 5**9 install, and see if any nvidia lddm drivers are supplied in vista.

Theirs more to 3d than AeroGlass
These cards are built for Gaming, and Nvidia has more Support for DirectX than ATI cards.
Nividia as I said supports DX9C and Shader Model 3 = Sexier Pixel Shaders
Most Games Require Shader Model 3 in the future for High Dynamic Range Lighting which Completely owns the current Low Dynamic Range Lighting, you have see it to believe it man, HDR is like OMG WADDAFAX !!! that looks Like REAL LIFE !! - Serious Sam 2 for example wont HDR without a Nvidia card becuase ATI doesn't have SM3
I do Know that Source Engine will HDR on DX9B, aka HL2 Engine.
Nvidia has Digital Vibrance
B)
Did you know that Nvidia worked closely with MS to design DX9C ?
Nvidia cards at the moment Benchmark Faster than ATI cards to Boot
---
Dont get me wrong ATI are great cards and may have that first lddm driver thing but i really missed the reliability of an Nvidia GPU and their better drivers, build in Overclocking feature with 3d / 2d mode separation to boot and i really missed DV, i dont use IS now coz it only really works well on a CRT (IS - Image Sharpening can make ur CRT have the sharpness of an LCD =D - i really missed it when i got my 9800pro)

what does that do? i already owned a6800gt, OCed it 'till the non exploding
cows got home (what do you get in 3dmark'05?...) i will buy a 7800gtx
if i feel the need to do so. i just wanted to know if aeroglass works for you
or not. in the .inf for nvidia i found this: Untitled1.png 681.49K 76 downloadslooks like the 7800 might require some editing...
