Yup... fallowed the instructions I did... besides I always uninstall before an upgrade.

Patch 1 the recommended one, I used that with the previous build, I Installed this build and patched it, ran the server and everything and It STILL won't log in.

I had the same problem with that patch, i used the patch in the first post in this thread, and it worked

I thought it was the same patch because I tried that first patch in this thread and fallowed you directions, then that didn't work so I tried that one AND the one from mess.be, none of them seemed to work.

i am using the one from mess.be and it works perfectly...the patch should install then if its working itll have a red circle with 13 in it in the corner, if its not there, find it and run the INSTALLED file

im using ms 8 beta 328 and a patch. i got both from nextl3vel.org forums but they are down at the moment.

well hopefully the beta begins sooner than later cause im itchin to try this bad boy out on vista without having to worry about the stupid protocol patch

Do NOT use that patch............Microsoft is using messenger8 WITH that patch to see what you´r doing and what site´s you visit on the web....
I´ve deleted that installation and HOPE you´ll do it too.
Back to messenger 7.5 and wait for the official release of messenger8.
