Interesting stuff, but the japanese chicks in the picture are not as chicks as one would expect Japanese chicks to be.

Not yet Scara. I didn't even know they had them cracked already. I was lucky that i saw it at Wal-mart when i did, i thought it was coming out next month. I guess the silver one came out before the black and white one. Score for me! I would love info on cracking it! My buddy in ID has an old one cracked and he says that the current crack for it works great, very professional looking and everything...that and there is a PS1 emulator for it, JEAH!!! :graduated:

Cracked firmware is easy to install but you first need to create a pandora battery, and that requires a fat psp with 1.50 or custom firmware with 1.50 support to run an installer.

However once the memory stick installation is done, you can use it in whatever psp slim without repeating the process again. :graduated:

So.......get your buddies psp and create the battery mod.

Guide

Rest is easy once you have done the above

With PSP Slim old Firmware would not work.. Have you knew that SLiM version has TV-Out feature which is being Controlled by Software.. 2nd it has new MoBo chips and parts.. you could brick your PSP in no time..

About Up/Down - you don't need 1.50 firmware.. new firmware mods such as M33 (dont remember correctly) has already made everything in Automated way.. but overall it is risky..

The Most secure way of playing with firmwares would be mod Chip.. It is replacement of your original PSPs memory where Firmware being written.. to Flash.. which could be easily accessed through USB as a simple Mass Storage device.. and with specific unpackers (dont matters bricked your psp or not) you could easily Roll Back... or go for a new Firmware.. :graduated: Chip is totally worth buying ..

For new SLiM version wait a while.. at least month.. for new Mod Firmware to come to your specific Console. the slim version

That's why we have to use CF 3.60 for the SLIM.

Hence the reason for creating a Pandora battery, this is used to insure correct flash and recover (bricked or not) if needed.
