If you want it bad enough, you could back up your original files and reformat your HD, then recreate the partitions, then install your original OS then vista. If that doesn't work, then you're most likely out of luck for the time being, maybe the next build it will be fixed.

Newer hardware isnt playing friendly with some of the builds so wait ... i had issues with 5308 BSOD'ing on shutdown and alot of stuff wasnt workin too well with it. And if ur worried bout set up u can always mount the ISO in Nero Imagedrive that comes with Nero Ultra 6 or 7.

So far the install is faster than the other. i will keep ya's posted on changes i notice.

- Edit

This build is by far the best. I can well understand how Nvyseal described it. Performance with Media player, sidebar and internet explorer all running is excellent. I will go as far to say that if i had 2GB of ram i could cope with this as an everyday option easily! Considering Vista wants about that much in the end anyway MS aren't all that far from their goal.

Well done MS. Screenies later

There is a small program that now comes with Vista that captures screens. It's in the Accessories folder. Check it out, really useful!

i know in some cases, the CD/DVD ROM drive has problems in Vista. Im thinking to try the vurtural drive thing and boot from that. Only other thing i can think ofis to pull all unnecessary devices and peraphals off and boot with a bare bones system until you find what is causing the problem BTW, is the bios set to boot from DVD first?
