it is pretty and sweet though. the boot screen starts with glowing orbs of color twirling about and then coming together to form a glowing windows icon. boot is quick too. system is very responsive, skype and the like, along w/the latest nvidia drivers (though 7 does have my 8800gt drivers) and my auzentech audio, install and run with aplomb.

rich, i was really disappointed (as were you) w/ the 64bit releases. it's too early for them to be used for more than development purposes atm, it seems... :yay2:

there are a handful of new ones, though the bit quality is low. great shots, but funky quality (...and garish purple overtones. maybe steve ballmer did them with his cellphone... :yay2: lol, love ya steve ), though i bet ms assumed small laptops would be the test systems, or the like.

i'm not much of a showman dave, i'm actually setting this up as a daily driver, so if there is something you want to see, let me know. i dunno, but it seems that the image quality here is a bit better than my vista install...i know that they were talking about using the gpu more for gui etc., but it just seems as though the stills i'm checking out look better...
