driving me nuts as to 'best' rad placement/port penetrations. i love this case, but don't want a 'remote' rad...water cooling is such an expensive undertaking (not these instant kit things, but a 'real' loop(s)). looking at the 'komodo' total block for my 7970 atm...

nah, but i bench it with linx with the new xeon test files. going stainless for the exterior pipes. simple, but durable, as i tend to kick (sometimes on purpose)/spill beer/knock over my rig, and that's even before miller time...
man, if games looked like that heaven test, i'd be an avid gamer!

went ahead and sorted the fan controls/leads (each fan has a cabled switch for high/low speed...not cool). warranty? who needs a warranty? cut all the fan leads, sealed up the low voltage leads, and spliced/soldered the remaining mass into two thin hot/ground, to couple with an exterior mounted molex (looking atm...).i'm satisfied in how it turned out:

case still a bit rough, but at least got most of the cutting done:

the case intake fans are going to be typhoon ap-30, with modded pwm leads, which will be split cabled to the cpu pwm mobo signal header, so when things get hot, they will spin up...if you have ever heard them full blast ...gpu block arrived today. pretty. waiting on the rez so i can position the pump, and ordered moar 90 degree to make sure i have all the fittings i need when the final push to transfer the existing mobo into the new mini case happens.

rez arrived. pretty kit indeed. after looking at the penetration fittings, and my cutting, i decided to forgo the exterior fittings, as the holes are pretty tight re circumference. waiting on bitspower rad mounting kit before i can plumb the exterior...

i used some copper pipe to beef up the rad supports, which are really meant for single 120mm rads, and made a bumper for the extra set of mid mounted wheels to keep the rad from tipping everything over. fan power lead passes through a grommet in the rear. i was going to use stainless steel for the exterior connections, but decided against it: while the bitspower pipe adapters seem to be pretty tight, i felt that there could be an issue re leakage if the system was bumped in that area, an area that would generally be out of line of sight.
