well, if you are trying to enable Super prefetch in xp, you won't notice anything, as
xp will not recognize the reg entry...i tend to clear out the prefetch once in a
while to get things going faster (stop os from trying to fetch uninstalled, unused
stuff). or am i completely off base here, and haven't a clue :P :o

DWM is not being backported to XP, windowblinds will have glass and transparency effects, with support for per pixel borders, and shading, but it will in no way emulate vista, as vista uses a totally different graphics engine, so unfortunately it will be vista looks with XP functionality

WinFX is not DWM, nor is it included with the package. You can use the developing tools along with Microsoft Visual Studio to create WinFX applications but you cannot, in any way, use DWM in XP. WinFX can be used only in XP SP2, Server 2003 SP1, and Longhorn/Vista, for the support of WinFX and the development of applications based on the technology.
