I really like it when the sun comes out and shines through my window while i sit in my room chatting with my Friends on the internet, isn't the weather great ?

It's quite interesting how the sun works with our planet. If we were a bit closer, we would be scorchin, and if we were a bit further, we would be in constant subzero temps. Its also fascinating how orbits work, that we're not just sucked into the massive gravitational pull the sun creates. Does anyone know much about string theory? It explains how that's possible. According to string, the sun is just a massive object creating a warp in space-time. The earth has a little warp created by its own mass, which keeps it staying relatively in one place, large enough to create a gravitational pull for the moon. interesting stuff!

Ah yes, I have read up on the string theory. That everything in existence exists somewhere else but on a differnt plane but outside the reaml of existence lies strings known as waves vibrating. It the vibrating that created the universe. Is that the same string thory as you are talking about?

Yep, thats one aspect of it. String covers a heck of a lot of ground, that being one part of it. The basic idea of string, if anyone else doesn't know about it, is that the core material our universe is made out of is vibrating loops of indefinitely thin 1-dimensional loops, each on average about a millionth of a billionth of a billionth of a billionth of a centimeter. They make up all matter and energy, from subatomic particles to atoms all the way up. Here's a good illustration of the basic idea. (Nova)

They based Slipstream travel in Andromeda out of the string theory hehehe !

I believe its just physics.
The centrifugal force of the earth movement allows the earth to be pulled around the sun by the suns gravity without getting closer or further away, No strings attached (Pun Intended)
