Hello people, how long before schools, businesses, homes and everywhere rely more on 64-bit? Tell us how long you think, it'd be interesting to hear!!

Well that is a hard question to answer, I voted 3 years. Hopefully by the year 2008 64 bit hardware will be more widespread

For small servers to lagre servers, its mainstream NOW. all home, offices and large businesses should be running it. There is no reason they shouldn't. They are faster, resist virius's and the OS is there.

For personal computing, we need to wake up the application programmers to make their applications 64 bit. Right now they are all taking the wait and see approach, just like they did in the 16 vs 32 bit days
