Sygate is now owned by symantec's group but it's Sygate is an able firewall that is simple.

Sygate's free solution is easy to use, powerful, capable and pretty straight forward and after some tweaks to disable alerts you can live with it.

TRUST ME, it's unbreakable and local authorities use it here on a lot of computers,

Also you can try stinger from mcafee which can be ran without installing, just run from it's location, either USB Stick or CD. This is designed to find viruses quickly and efficiently, again it's FREE!!

Since I know that Sygate exists, I always use it on all my PCs. It seems stable enough and does not use a ton of memory like some other security progs do.

It's kinda weighing my computer down at the moment, think it maybe because of all the things I have enabled at startup.

i remember using sygate years ago, lol

there's only one problem with it, when I'm running other software I get two windows asking me if it's okay to let the same dang program connect to the internet -.- Frustration lol But I figured out how to make it just allow all programs.

naa it's okay It works, I just disable lower one of the security settings on another peice of software I am using, no biggie
