This is an attempt to resolve the problem with multiple dupe posts asking "Which Distro?". This repitition grows annoying with the length of your forum membership.

When faced with the "Which Distro?" question, do the following (in order) and you won't have to post to ask:

1) Search the forums. This topic has been covered MANY times.

2) Check http://distrowatch.c...?resource=major . They have reviews of all the latest/major distros as well as pros, cons and comparisons.

3) Check out the Distro http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/ Quiz.

4) Google.

Very good guide, I took the quiz and the results were remarkably correct recommended that I use Debian based distros. (I love and prefer Debian based distros)
