i assume the tv in question was an lcd? still, kina gives me the creeps, though the pad thing is neat, great for many gadgets w/batteries, though the magnetic resonance thing doesn't settle with me too well...

MO: Yeah, I was wondering about the comment that "we're invisible to magnetic fields" or what not. I didn't think that was completely true...

...but I've been wrong before. (April of '99, the infamous "James Wood/James Spader" incident)

Pretty cool stuff though. I wouldn't mind having a mousepad sized device I could just throw my cell phone, mp3 player, and camera on to charge.

I actually have seen a prototype of this thing at Philips Eindhoven.
It's a pretty cool idea indeed, I'd love to have one of those things!
