Yeah, mine has that problem as well. But I'm not going to fix it until I get a new case which won't be until my next build. So, for now I'll just have to be happy with decent cooling.

That's quiet indeed! I'm looking to add that to the side of my case though I need to find a decent tool to cut that thick steel side panel...BTW is anyone else having problems with the HTML formatting here? All sorts of codes appear when I use it.

geez hog, that should do the job :( i was checking those out also, but decided to us the extra spare rad (great price on those, and it shouldn't cost much to take the panel down to a machinist and have them cut it out for you :( ).

Actually a friend of mine works with some machines that could do the job at school, though it took me too much time to bring it to him so now school is finished lol, I'll have to wait till september. Too bad I have to face 30+C room temperatures all summer until then. I think I'll move the computer to my room in the basement, just gotta find a place to put it...

you're not going to believe this: after getting fed up with all the noise from the extra fans on the big rad, and the fact that, because it was close to the psu exhaust, with the result of the loop just circulating warm water, i tried what i originally had planned: use one single 120 rad mounted inside the case...and guess what: i have lower temps! lol, the three 120 big rad was outdone by (albeit new design) a single little guy. i guess the new generation of rads have improved to the point you might just think of using the next size down, if not two, next time you do water...

What brand and model 120 rad did you go with?

Thanks Mo! I'm really disappointed with the temps I'm getting with my 240mm Swiftech rad on my Quad. Perhaps the GTX 240mm will be the solution I'm looking for.

i bet! they really came up with a great design here. i'm using two silenx blue led (one on each face) fans, and really am quite impressed with the performance.

So you are using a push/pull fan arrangement now? How much lower are your temps now?

On the triple I noticed all your fans were on the exterior pulling. Has that been shown to be the best arrangement? Scara's build had the fans on the other side of the rad pushing.

a few C degrees lower. i dunno if the double fans really make that much difference, i just had the two, and though i'd try it (i may just pull the push one off, and compare). i've heard that there can be turbulence issues using a push (unless you use a spacer/gasket), though the big thing for me is the cleaning issue: you have to remove the fan, or blow real hard through the other side of the rad to get debris out of the fan side area, where as you can just pull off the fuzzies if you use a pull arrangement. i wonder if i would have better rad air flow with just a single fan mounted...

I am not 100% sure on this, but I believe a fan pushing air actually heats the air temp alittle, thus having a pull mounted fan on a rad will pull cooler air through the rad, an if it heats up after going through the fan it will be of no consequence.
I believe that is why the vast majority of automotive rad cooling fans are located as pull fans.
