Windows XP is a good OS and many people dont have Vista capable PCs... and its not something that will change shortly... so Microsoft should consider that first. :graduated:

Out of the 75 machines I admin, about 25 of them are Vista capable... not ready lol... but capable. From a business viewpoint, I can't imagine those 50 older machines leaving my scope until at least 2009 at the earliest. Almost 95% of business applications are more than able to run on XP and in most cases they seam to run better on XP.

So from a common sense viewpoint, I think MS is shortening XP's lifespan earlier than they should.

i miss xp. i really wish it had had that aero slickness. it has been a great OS for the last 5 plus years (i wish they would have found a way to patch it to server '03 specs...). that said, i think i'll install it again, and vote yes, they dropped it too soon :P
