What are your needs for speed?

I usually drive about 5-10 MPH over the limit. Good ol radio scanner helps me keep track of the 4 cops on duty where I live.

As for the fastest I have ever gone... I glanced down and it was at 140 MPH, I took it up a little higher before slowing back down. If ya haven't gone that fast before, **** happens really quick so you don't usually look down to see how fast you're going. Yes it was a pretty good thrill. As for my future wants, I would love to take a Corvette, Mustang, or really high end Mercedes out for a speed run sometime; unfortuneately I'm not scared of driving fast.

Lets see I'll talk about my car too. I have a 1996 Saab 900SE convertable, specs below.

Engine:
2.0L Turbo
185 HP (Can be chipped to about 240HP)

Transmision:
4 Speed Auto
(The tires chirp going from 1st to 2nd at 45MPH) (The tires spin if you put your foot down on the floor when you are going 60MPH)

Top Speed: 150MPH (Electronicly chipped. Can go faster with aftermarket chip.)

Acceleration: 0-60MPH in 5.5 seconds. Quarter mile in 14.8 seconds.

Can't go too fast around here in LA..and I've had a ticket before for going 10 over. But when I need to go fast I do it. Oh yeah that friend I was talking to you about has a Ferarri, and it has over 500HP. Which seems to be how he can get up past 100 something mph at the third gear.

Hmm... that's not weird, to go faster than 100 in 3rd, most modern cars can handle that no prob...

Generally in day to day driving, im on the streets, so you can find me going 5-10 MPH over the limit in the MR2. But on the freeways im comfortable at 80-85MPH. In some areas its 20MPH over the limit and in other areas it only 10MPH over the limit. I have let the vette stretch her legs to an easy 140MPH in areas where there is little traffic and long open highway

In California, you do 100, and your car is impounded, in some cases, permanently, and the police are even going so far as destroying the impounded vehicle, and you must be there to watch it get crushed <_<

Uff. Aaagggghhhh. Ouch. That would suck.

A friend of my parents lived in Arizona for a while and he had a Corvette. There if you go over 100MPH they can't chase you because it is "too dangerous". You just have to hope that you don't get caught from an APB when you slow down.

Usually 5-10MPH over the limit-
It just keeps up with the traffic-

When going up I-395 through the desert I will go 90- 100 MPH
