Desktop.. a laptops nice... but the hdd space and the useablity blows balls. Sure oyu cna take it every where but its a pain to use. PDA's are nice but you don't always get the best reception nor do you get easy to use... no keyboard... it's all on screen and it has BARELY any space to save data... besides, the screen is just so tiny O.o

A bit of a broad generalization there, isn't it? I only use a laptop. I can take it anywhere, I have enough HD space for what I need to run regularly (and an external HD for other items), I can play games to my heart's content, and it's anything BUT a pain to use.

I wasn't trying to start anything either . ;) It's just that I see people say "laptops suck because 'x'" so often - most often by people who have only used the $500 Celeron HP laptop sold the day after Thanksgiving at BBY, CompUSA, etc. Some people will only use desktops because they can always upgrade them. In my case, I need a laptop because of the fact that I do work at a variety of places - whether at home, on a job site, or even in a coffee shop (gotta love free WiFI!!). For me, owning a laptop means I can bring the work with me when and where I need it, whereas a desktop would tie me down to a specific location. It doesn't mean that everyone should use a laptop, as it really depends more on the specific individual's preferences and needs than anything else.
