cruel, so cruel.....
so much to do
8 cores could
do the kid's homework,
plan biz for the day,
encode and
burn movies,
rework all those holiday photos,
stay on top of the news,
email family and friends, and above all
download all the :moreilly: you need,
if ya only had a few more hands.
hehehe :mooning:

The Dual Quads are massive in possiblities however, we must remember...The Quads are limited to the magic contained (or the lack of it) in the fingers on the keyboard. :moreilly: Gosh, did I just say that? :mooning: I'm so ashamed! My apologies to all the impotent fingers found on this forum...talker. :mooning:

just some quick ones in everest, and did the cinebench ones also. it does great in any multi threaded based ones, though at single core tests, it does what a core2 (@2ghz) would @ single core performance.

after replacing my scsi setup with an areca 1210 sata controller and two raptor 150s, it's now time (maybe?) to upgrade in the gpu department. i was hell bent on going ati this time around, but now see some real deals on the nvidia 8800 series cards, namely the gtx and gt. the 3870x2 is really at a great intro price, but since i don't have the need to play crysis (or any game, for that matter), i need some opinions: go ati, and get the single 3870 (external exausting, great ati image quality), or the big x2? or the recently cheaper 8800gtx (again, love the dual slot cooler), or the gt, which has been getting great reviews for some time now...

help! :g:
