There is no denying it, Disney’s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ is the box-office topper of 2006.

Pillaging another $62.2 million from 4,133 locations filling its war chests to $258.2 million in its second week of release, the Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom starrer has secured its place in the annuals of Hollywood. It passed previous record holder Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith’s $236.9 and doubled the take of the first in its franchise, The Curse of the Black Pearl in the same period of time.

All in all, it now holds the record for:

1. Fastest movie to reach $100, million (first weekend $135,634,554);
2. Widest release at 4,133 locations;
3. Largest Opening Day gross, $55.8 million

Has anyone seen this movie? Any good? :smoke:
