Latest alpha of Ubuntu 7.10 featuring Compiz Fusion and Keira Knightley.

And here's a video of my desktop. You'll need a video player that can play Ogg Theora videos...

very cool vid brewin. The chess victory was a nice touch. :chriso: :talker: It's just unreal that a "record desktop" function is free considering how much a licensed version of something like Adobe Captivate or Camtasia costs. As an aside, it felt kinda dirty watching that in WMP. :graduated:

Any bugs with Compiz yet?

Yep, I opened Synaptic, searched for "record", found that program and installed it. Worked great. One thing I've noticed about Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon is that there are tons more packages in the repositories. For example, there's an awesome Texas Hold'em game called PokerTH that I went through hell to install in Feisty Fawn. In Gutsy, all I had to do was apt-get install pokerth. :chriso:

Not that I've noticed. I'm sure some of the plugins are buggy, but Compiz itself seems stable.

:graduated: So you're saying I should upgrade from Feisty ASAP, eh? Ok, I'm sold. Hold 'Em as an enticement is a nifty trick they got there.

Heehee. Well mane, I am on my gaming box. That should excuse the blasphemy. If only Cedega or Wine could catch up to GR:AW. Why DirectX doesn't violate the Clayton Antitrust Act, I'll never know. Well, I know why, but let's just say I don't understand.

Good to know. I was chatting with MO earlier and he mentioned you've been having a good experience with it.

Well, it is only the second alpha release. YMMV. I'd definitely recommend trying it out in October.

As for PokerTH, there's also a Windows version if you're interested.
