A new GUI, easier to use, better layout and all that.

IS this the winner? Will Open office and others be forced to upgrade their products? Will they copy?

And I def. need to get a real life again... I'm bored with my current life, ideas can be pm'd to me!

no, not right away, they started a completely new look. It will take time for users to get used to I think

yes and no, I love the new office and I think it's going to be a big hit, I for one adapt well so it was no problem for me, but what about the other who don't adapt so well, It'll take a while to catch on.

what to get used to? you start it and things are right there, like insert, help e.t.c ALL accessible. Nothing difficult. In my view 97% of people will find this easier, the rest will be n00bs and over 80 :)

LOL no I mean the setup is different and something being different is not generally accepted, we as humans try to maintain homeostasis, we are not ment for change... change is bad to most of us. I just don't see it as an automatic hit.

well if it wasnt for the high prices this would be an instant success, the fact theat office 2007 pro could be anywhere around £150?(i think) may damage its potential success

Not at the moment for me anyway, I hate changes and the way these programs are set out scares me greatly. I cant find much, and I dont have the time to start messing around looking. On 2k3 it was simple, File, Edit, Insert etc. now when you click them it comes up underneath with hardley any selection :)

I see it as being successful I just don't see it as being instant success maybe after a year or a half it'll pick up.
