With my XP i am sharing folders only right now but sometimes i have need to share USB devices.
When Server 2003 was installed i was sharing Themes, Wallpapers, User Profile Info, Document Folder...everything to create a roaming profile.
In the past i've shared Floppy/CD/DVD drives.

Anything and everything possible to share is shared on my Server 2k3 (workstation) and XP Pro, it's good to share
