Toshiba isn't that shabby. I don't have one, but I have a friend who uses one, I borrowed it for a while, and it was pretty decent I have to say. I'm thinking about selling my laptop maybe to get one. lol

I really did like my sony laptop, but it took a dump after many years of service. I now have a HP. It a lot more up-to-date with Wi-Fi, a big screen, good graphics card and DVD/CD burner, and lots o RAM. Best thing is, its was only 600.00 US :cigar:

This information is based on personaly preferance and experience ONLY so don't lash at me if you disagree

Toshiba's are very good laptops for demand and for performance, they are durable too, when you can see a laptop last 4 years through 2 sets of 6 graders a day O.o it's durable :D, little problems cosmetically they all look about the same.

IBM is simular, decently priced, durable machine, however once you get a hold of a lemon it's best to scrap that modle and go for a new one... it's normally a problem with the entire model not just THAT laptop. Cosmetically they all look abotu the same O.o

HP is okay, I have had some bad experiences with Compaq/HP in the past but it seems they are getting better, good price, good performance. Cosmetically, they are okay

Dell is affordable on almost all levels, cutomizable, and reliable. Good performance aswell, however if you want a really good machine you have to be willing to pay. They have cosmetics aswell :cigar:

I never have and probably never will be a big fan of Sony. The specs on them look nice and the pirce tags fit. They look nice too.

In my country Toshiba has a poor selection. I know lots of people in different types of corporations who need professional hardware and use them under extrene situations. So I trust with their opinion that Dell makes the best laptops.
