Posted ImageHere i finally thought that MS IE was doing something good for once. IE7 had my hopes up, then it all came crashing down when everytime i seemed to reply or try and quote and reply in forums that IE7 came to a crashing stop.

Posted ImageThe reason that i like ff so much is that it has TONS of extensions. IE7 is getting there with SOME add-ons, and most of them cost $$$. Has opera allowed add-ons or extensions?

Hmmm seems to work fine with Win XP 64 . Also with Maxthon on top of that. I've had no problems with it.

I am using IE 7 to type this response. While I have IE 7 installed, I seldom ever use it. I have been using the Avant Browser for about a year and it just seems, for me anyway, to have all the dodads and extras that I like. The tabs are movable from the top to the bottom which for me is perfect. This is a feature that IE 7 lacks and is probably the biggest reason that I don't use it...talker.

Yahoo has the Widgets available and will work in x64 without a problem. There seems to be hundreds of them along with a tutorial to build your own...talker.

Yahoo Widgets
Posted ImageI tried out yahoo's widets when they first started, i guess i should check them out again. ...but, i am still addicted to Google Desktop in the x86 XP. Wish they would make it for the x64 platform.

That is all it really comes down to i guess (with x64) and the reason that i no longer run it. x64 need complete support! I want my palmpilot zire 72 to sync with it, i want my google destop sidebar, i want, i want, i want...

Amazing. I could parrot this exactly only replacing Avant with Maxthon. Same deal otherwise . I have better luck with Max in x64.

Hi Christo,
I can't speak about the Palm Pilot but the Google Desktop works fine in x64. Just out of curiosity, I d/l and tried the install. Eveything went in just like it should. As I type this from IE 7 the Google sidebar is scrolling through my photos, the weather is shown, the headline feeds are running through, and the indexer is working. It also works with the Avant Browser in x64. Just thought I would pass it along...talker.
