i tried it years ago, but this new version, coupled w/vista/server aero, looks and works sweet. i managed to be static desktop icon free.

i have been really enjoying it this last week. this is my desktop w/o icons, but using the dock for all my go to apps:

I just installed Vista Black Eternity x64 that had rocketdock built into it...but alas, my desktop computer crashed again. It sure did look nice though. Ran much better than the old one (I'm like you Mike, tried it ages ago...) Meh...I don't have time to toy with it and get it running again. I like rocketdock. It is a nice little app.
