in the system bios under peripherals (i forget now)? there should be a heading for the nvraid setup. you choose
which drives you want to have in the array (not choosing the ata/optical ones, of course), and the ones you don't. it sounds like this step hasn't been checked out, at least in responses so far. you then hit f10 to save and exit system bios. then check out the nvraid/storage bios (i forget what you hit to enter it), and delete any existing arrays. then rebuild with the drives that show up and hit B.

Well, I just disabled the Sil contoller all together and it worked!!! I don't know why that screwed it up but it is!! At least it is a start, and I can work on it further from there. Any ideas on that?

I really hate technology sometimes!!

Well, I have been working on this for hours and hours so I need a break. I am off to a football game. Pick this back up later!

So, is there anyway to still be able to use the other controller!!? I have another SATA drive that I want to use as a spare drive to back stuff up on!

Well I figured it out!! I disabled the Sil and windows installed just fine. After I did that I enabled the second RAID 0 on the same controller, after I had windows installed on the first raid then the option for set to boot came back (since it was greyed out before) so I set the other raid to boot and now I am installing vista. YEAH, I love technology right now!! lol
