Installing iTunes in a protected environment in the hope I can be free of the devils bloat :) (you know........like eh what's its name?.........sorry it escapes me :mail1: ) here's hoping it works lol :)

I refuse to use apple software and so I use winamp since it works with ipods fine.

Thus the reason i asked for a Zune instead of iPod. What i think is kinda neat is that on the back of my Zune (30gb hdd version) it says "Hello from Seattle" LOL Yeah yeah, i am a MS wh0re

Ended up shoving iTunes on.

iTunes wont run without bloatware Quicktime installed, which it installs automatically in the package.

Trick is to uninstall Quicktime after iTunes install, clean out registry etc, then install the much lighter Quicktime Alternative. :) That gets rid of much of the crap and iTunes works just fine with the alternative. :)

Change the 2 Apple iPod services to 'manual' and this saves 2 extra processes running 24/7.

Set all program preferences to minimal and don't have it automatically syncing.

Once the above has been done, its really not that big a deal, although I still don't like it. :mail1:
