I'm trying to finish a 2 year long build (I got married). Got the board, ram, gpu, and Q8400. I have installed the q8400 and I get lights and fans.....all else is still dark. I borrowed a C2D from my shop and........"wait for it", I got the thing to post. I have flashed to the P31 BIOS. After reinstalling the q8400....still all dark. Can this be because of a compatibility issue?

The 680i doesn't support Q8400 Yorkfield Cpu's.

Hush, or I'll come over there and terrorize you with presents for the kids (tin drums, electric key boards, and little play pianos)!!!!!!
It was one of those I couldn't "see the forest for the trees". But we got it straightened out.
