Great choice on the Premium! It's supposed to be the best Quad clocker to date.

Lapping kit I'm going to use
CPU marked out for easy guide and sides taped to further protect the back
Starting with 400 Grit paper
Slowly move CPU up & down/left & right rotating every 30 secs using plenty of water
After 20 mins we can see the copper coming through
1 hour of lapping and we can see how uneven the IHS really is
2 hours and lots of water later
On to 600 Grit paper and it's beginning to look good but were not done yet
Much better after and hour of 1500 Grit rubbing
Finish off with 2000 & 2500 Grit and all done
Mirror finish achieved
.....and another Warranty down the pan

Yes.....I'll have to give up PC building as age is taking it's toll or beer or both (guess the mistake here LOL)
All fitted but it's gonna have to come out again
Did you spot it?.......yup....board all fitted WITHOUT the waterblock bolts ......so out it comes
Leak testing 1
Leak testing 2
Leak testing 3
Now, everything is running well and I ain't had the major problems most have had with the RAID/AHCI as I'm using Seagate drives
Temps on each core are as follows:
Core 0 - 38
Core 1 - 36
Core 2 - 32
Core 3 - 36
Pretty good and that's with a 25% clock @ stock voltages
Problems:
PSU voltages are reported wrong in Windows but is OK in BIOS. (all software)
BUS speed & multiplier are reported wrong in Windows but is OK in BIOS. (all software)
All in all, a stable and very fast board so far. More to come!
