Why use it now? Seems redundant... Guess if I wanted a mac I would have bought one newer than what I have.

Which is pretty much how it is with the current leak of Mac OSX x86. It can be installed in VMWare, or natively on a PC with SSE2 and there is now even a patch to get SSE3 working on a SSE2 processor (so you can run iTunes, etc..). Apparently, after it has booted it runs quicker than it does on a Mac.

For info on installing this OS you can visit OSx86 Project

Iv run pearpc on my athlon64 2.5ghz

the MacOSx system status showed my pc as 1.2ghz and sometimes even less like 1ghz

AMD supports more features than intel
Athlon64 will support 3dnow (+) MMX (+) SSE SSE2
AthlonXP supports 3dnow MMX SSE SSE2

I have tried PearPC and i could not get it to work. I also downloaded the VMWare image of MacOSX for intel, but it would go to a certain stage of booting and stop. Is there a version i can download that i can try and install on my Pentium 4 3.06 ht system with nvidia graphics and 768 megs of ram?

Well yeah you guys did put up a big NONO, but he wasn't listening to you, he wanted to hear why they were good.

I personally said he should go for it. And clarky, your shotgun's jammed, so don't bother. LOL
