:cool2:

Here is my silent build:

I bought myself a Biostar T550 AM2 board bundled with an AMD64 X2 3600 (which i have heard you can OC to 3.0 GHz on just air). I also bought a EVGA GeForce 7600GT 256mb, a wonderful Zalman CNPSHSF9500 HSF, 2x 1gb Corsair XMS DDR2 800 (i plan to buy 2 more sticks as well) and a Thermaltake TR2-430w PSU. Let me tell ya, she's a beaut!

Believe it or not, the biostar board is pretty nice. I am just using the "idiot" OC settings in it right now, but once i break it in, i will try and reach the 3.0 GHz mark. I am using my Samsung Lightscribe DVD burner from my old build, my Seagate 320gb hdd (finally running at 3.0) along with my XION case. Yep that is my external hdd you see up on top (WD ATA100 250gb hdd):

I am running Vista x86 (i will try out x64 eventaully once i get to know the OS better, dont cha worry) with some fabulous results. Here is a screeny:

Well, there you have it. My upgraded compy LOL. Yeah, i know, the bottom of the barrel for the AM2 socket, but at least i am there now.

P.S. For those of you that still frequent PAMD64, look familiar? LOL

I haven't touched a game on my new PC as of yet. I'll let you know how it goes when i do. I am trying to get the specs from someone who has the exact MD and processor running at 3.1 GHz.

That would be cool.

Well im still running along on my 939 single core 148 opty, an ATi X850xt pe lol an my dfi board, all that I got last year, 06 income tax refund. this year's refund went to more important things, I wanted to upgrade the computer stuff but I did manage to get a 22" widescreen monitor this yr.
course now it wont wake from standby, or sleep mode, stupid thing, getting it fixed is going to hurt too. I called the company an they said send an email, I did that now they want a fax. I dont have a fax nor access to one.

Unfortunatly no, this is a town of less then 2,000 people, an the nearest one that would have something that would do the trick is 80 miles one way, an they dont even have a net cafe. not to many of them in my part of the world.
