Now we all have seen Vista change its build numbers from being an alpha (Longhorn) to finally beta Vista and soon RC 1. Now what do you think the final version (Retail version) of Vista's build will be?

I guess Windows Vista Build 5800 or 6000

Yes, Linoman, you were correct. The build is 6000. However, whether it is 6000 or 6,000,000 it is still Vista which means it is still Windows. A rose by another name is still a rose. Dress it up all that you can. Add this and add that. Make it very expensive and guess what...it is still Windows. And remember, DOS 3.3 and an 8086 will play a mean game of solitaire, do all the word processing that you would ever need and the whole thing will fit on ONE, COUNT 'UM, ONE floppy. We shall see what the days and Vista will bring us. Is the new OS a god send or a pariah? Anyway you approach the new OS, as I said, it is still Windows...talker. <_<

You are quite right talker. MS Windows is still a Windows OS, any os based on either the (now obsolete) 9x kernal or NT kernal, is and always will be a Windows OS
