Windows xp mediacenter boot cd

Hi I have a Windows mediacenter cd but cannot boot it when i start the Pc to install it.
So my big problem is that i allways when I want to install it i have to install it OVER a old installation Xp.
Now my question How can i make that Cd be booting when i start my PC??

i would imagine that you didn't burn the CD correctly, download Alcohol 120% to burn the ISO and if not check the PC is set to boot from CD at startup in the Bios settings.

Would check the bios first.
What did you burn the cd with?? Was it in .iso format?
