The x64bit.net chess room features in-game chat, immediate board refresh, full game logs, and the ability to manage all of your current games from one window.
As the chess room is a branch of the main www.x64bit.net forums, all of the forum rules apply. Any questions about these or any other rules or how they apply should be forwarded to an admin or mod of www.x64bit.net.
The x64bit.net Chess Club is open to players of all skill levels and the spirit of friendliness and courtesy that has built our web forum should be carried over to the chess room. This includes, but is not limited to:
* If you play chess well and are in game with an obvious noobie, give 'em a hand! Everyone was a rookie at some point and a persons first few experiences with chess can have an impact on their interest level. Sometimes a simple "try this" will flip the light on for a new player.
* Winning isn't everything. If a player asks for a move "undo", it is courteous to allow that undo, especially early in the game. On the flip side, even new players shouldn't ask for more than 1 or 2 "undos" per game. There are many chess clubs on the web that cater to the "win at all costs" type player. This isn't one of them.
* If you start a game with a member you don't know yet, say hello! Not only is the person on the other side showing an interest in chess, they're probably also interested in computers too!
* At this time, the chess proggy cannot recognize a stalemate. Players that come to one should offer/accept a draw.
If you are unsure about something in the game, click the about tab in the upper right hand side of the main menu. It will describe some common chess terms and also contains links to other chess forums.
So come one, come all! Let the games begin!
