Will It transfer all the domain controller settings over,will upgrade the active directory and so,basicly im mythed about it all i need some help.

I need some help,im planning to upgrade the server at work from server 2000 to server 2003,but i need some advice on this,
my questions are....

I think it SHOULD transfer, although I've never used 2k3 before or done anything of the sort.
