Well, I think Scara passed on his bad luck to me!! Yesterday, I noticed my machine was running a little sluggish. I didn't think much of it until later that night it still was. So, I went into the bios and saw that my southbridge was running at a crazy hot 89 degree's Celcius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) :P :P I opened the ol girl up to find that the heatsink was only being held on by one of those little spring loaded thingys, the other one had poped back through the board. This caused the heatsink to not sit on the chip which caused the crazy heat. So, I fixed it and immediately it went down to 55, which is a little better but still very hot!!! I turned it back on and the problems kept coming. The boot took FOREVER!!!!!!!! Then once it finall loaded I started getting a ton of RAID disk read errors. So, the ol girl is toaste!! :moreilly: I got a hold of EVGA and they are gonna send me a new one hopefully by the end of the week. So, now I gotta rip my watercooling system back appart. :cool2: How fun!! NOT
This really sucks. ;)

Yup, I'm happy for that. I guess we will have to hold off on the overclocking fun for a little bit. But I ordered a 680i water block for it. So, when I do get it all back together we can really have some fun!!!

poopy! well, in an attempt to make this into some good news, you don't have to spend money, and it gives youk a chance to tidy up your system! i like doing that, but i only do when i have to open er up, and investigate something.

anyhow, sorry bout the troubles ;)

Thanks guys!! I got my cross shipment approved so now they just have to process my credit card for the cross shipment and then test a board for me and ship it off. So hopefully I'll have one by the end of the week. And yes mysticmoose, it does give me a chance to do some different stuff with my computer. I am adding the water block, changing some fans out on my rad. that suck, and doing some wireing a bit differently. Sadly, it is costing me a bit of money for the shipping and stuff, so about 40 bucks. If you want to donate to the cause pm me. hehehehe
