Minh Le, the creater of the original counterstrike is working on a new game called Tactical Intervention. The game itself seems to have the same game play dynamics as CS except they have been (slightly) expanded upon, tactical ropes and other devices are used. It is a closed beta so what the final game play will be like is not yet known, I am going to watch it closely though.

Keep in mind CS was a simple game storyline wise, and Tactical Intervention will be as well, it will be the gamepaly dynamics that make it great if it is.

“After a century of world wars, global conflicts and indiscriminant terrorist attacks. The 21st Century is an era of unease and polarization.

World leaders have come together to counter these threats by uniting their best Special Forces Unit to gain control over any terrorist attack.

Tactical Intervention

These unified Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists battle each other in a variety of realistic modern environments. Each player’s role is to help secure their teams success through the use of the latest and greatest weaponry available to them^* as well as access to equipment ranging from shields and attack dogs to vehicles.

^* == Watch out you have to buy some of that jazz!”
