Remember the old days? ;)

Windows NT, 3.11, 95, 98, ME...

Out of all those which do you prefer and WHY?

I prefer 3.11 because i really got used to that OS, my first 3 computers had that on it and i got experienced with keyboard shortcuts you never even knew existed ;)

ME - for whatever reason, I never had the problems other prople reported with it. There were some improvements over 98 & 98SE, and despite the fact that it was still a 9x OS, it was better than many people gave it credit for.

*(To the people choosing XP, Server 2003, etc.)*

I believe the OP was specifically referring to the older OSes that were listed in the original question.

Cool and honest answer mate, yes several of my mates have ME and ACTUALLY NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, i used it last year for a few months when i was stuck on 56k for a short while...it drove me mad actually...

it never crashed ONCE and the only thing it didn't do was my Winsuite 2000 software for securing 9x workstations on a domain, but it did say 95-98 only.

But to those poor souls needing help with it and having major problems with it, I came to the rescue and for $10-$15/hour people gladly paid the bill to have their good ol computer back and working properly... opposed to the $25-$50 local shops are charging and my work was precise and quick... it didn't take 5 hours to do a 2 hour job.
