Sure it's pointless but what the hey, this is how to do it if you don't want to add stuff to that stupid start up folder

To Auto Run a Program when Windows Starts.

type regedit in the run box, click ok.

Navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Now on the right side, you may see some values (Name and Data). Note that the Data is pointing to an executable program paths. You will see that these are the programs which are executed when windows starts. Try to add your own program there.

Right click on the Right pane and select New->String Value or select Edit->New->String Value. You will see that a new key has been added with New Value #1. Change it to any string (it doesn't what). Now double click on this to set the value of this new key. Write in the input box C:\WinNT\Notepad.exe. Now press OK. Close the Registry editor and restart your computer. You will see that Notepad is awaken when Windows is restarted. Now whenever you will restart your system, Notepad will be executed. To get rid of this, just delete the key you have made.

Now you can do this for any program you want by simply putting in the path into the input box. Please change the drive letter accordingly!

Registry tip: Binary...working out Binary numbers, for example 101001

256 128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1 0
......................... 1 0 1 0 0 1

Basically add all the top numbers up where there is a 1, so 16 + 4 + 0 = 20

We therefore know that 20 in binary is 101001 :P

I am glad you guys like the tips but they aren't anything real big... not like Visentinel, he's a wizard when it comes to registry hacks it seems.

Yeah but they didn't invent electricity by standing around saying "OHHH PRETTY!" now did they... someone's gotta take chances... and I'm willing, because when you keep back ups, things can be undone!
