I have a kind of tricky problem. I've been using x64 professional for about two days and I can't get connected to some homepages, like google which irritates me as hell. I've downloaded avast antivirus and ad-aware but neither of them could find solve the problem. I've tried to connect to google through another computer with a 32-bit version of xp and experienced no problems what so ever. What to do?

Except for not being able to connect to google, I can't get windows update to search for any updates.

Please help me!

Go into your firewall settings, turn everything off. Go into your internet settings and change your privacy settings to low. see if you connect.
