Will networking play a part in how computers are designed in the future or is it going to remain as it is?

Think, the idea of linking devices and computers without wires or indeed with wires but minimal changes being made is great. Surely more must be possible...

Networking in a way, but I see it as what we think of as networking is going to change.

interesting! microsoft want to get more from the multimedia/media side of things so streaming music, sharing pictures will depend on some sort of network.

I think that the netwoks will be the main-frame fro everything: homes, internet, computers, artificial intelect and other science fictional things . I think everything will be connected through networks, maybe it will enable us to communicate to each other telepathically. Government (definetaly US, who else) will easily monitor us, and of course try to hide this from us (oh, like they don't actually monitor us - NSA, Echelon system in UK etc...)

Networking plays a key part in just about everything, as the world progresses through time, networking ideas and intellegence is going to have to keep up this changing world of ours. With computers and other devices becoming more portable all the time, wireless networks will be a necessity.
