Yesterday i was shown a wireless device that can go over a mile - YES A MILE - to share the internet at highspeed...Wireless is getting better and better.
Do you prefer Wireless or Wired networking?
why?
I prefer Wired if i can because its steady and with faster speeds, but who knows when that will change.
We have Wireless and Wired in our house.

Wired myself... but if they can go for a mile now... I might just change my tone, but I like the speeds and I like the reliability of wired.

I like the wired too. Ran cat5 all over the house, but I recently installed a netgear wireless g router to use my laptop anywhere.

WIreless, it is more convenient. ALthough in my situation i'm not able to get internet though

We used wired most of the time, our wireless is down, it's been down for a year, my dad doesn't know how to fix it. Otherwise we had extended ranges, so I could go next go to my neighbor's house and show them something, or bring it along if I have to dog-sit for a while or something. But it's broken. Bunch of junk. lol
