What's funny about this?

I literally, and I mean literally, just installed 7077 (x64) in the last couple of hours.

I think I said something to the effect that the RC wouldn't be leaked/released until I installed the beta. Well, I installed the first beta through Microsoft and never touched it again until this 7077 installation, so I guess I was at least half right.

You're welcome. :davex:

On edit: Oh yeah - would some of you guys that upgrade to 7100 let me know if there are enough noticeable differences to justify upgrading from 7077? TIA.

Surprise new features:

Windoes XP Mode:

To encourage enterprise people to let loose and rock Windows 7, it runs a full-fledged Windows XP virtual environment using Microsoft's Virtual PC. It requires an additional download (booo), but you won't have to worry about your applications breaking like with Vista.

Stream Your Library Over the Internet With Windows Media Player:

This is hot—it'd be hotter if it was easier to set up. Windows Media Player's Remote Media Sharing will let you access your media library from anywhere over the internet. You need a Windows Live ID that you associate with your Windows 7 user account using a tool you have to download. (This could grow to include other "online identities," like Facebook I'm guessing, but I wouldn't hold your breath for your Gmail account.) You also need the same version of Windows Media Player running on both computers. After everything's all associamated, then your home library you wanna stream from should show up just like a local library under the "Other Libraries" section in the side navigation pane. Can't do this in iTunes, buddy.

no mem leaks, and my fav ramdisk (free) is running super. everything is quick, though it was also with the 7068 for me. if you are running 7068, i don't think i'd bother upgrading...

Well, I'm running 7077 and was getting ready to install the RC. I'm going to try gaming with the RC and plan on keeping it on for awhile.

So the 3-4 hours I spent getting 7077 tweaked out and running nicely is out the window, but I'll be rollin the RC. Whoop whoop she whoop.

Just an FYI, but both those links are dead OS.

Think the leechers just got it and ran or that there's another reason for it? Just wondering.

Got mine activated alright, although when I first installed it I got a "Your activation has expired. Please activate now blah blah". Not sure why, as I unclicked the automatic activation like I usually do.

Anyhow, it seems alright.

For anyone using Windows 7 64bit and an X-fi, the new Creative beta driver is corrupt. I did find a working version from a thread on their forum...but I'm too tired to find it right now. :cc_surrender: They should get that fixed soon.
